Qaria Hafiza Rubina Died

Lahore: Professor Hafiza Qaria Rubina , wife of Nawa-i-Waqt columnist and former MAO College Professor Khalid Mehmud Hashmi, died of cancer on Saturday. She was 58. She was laid to rest at Miani Sahib Graveyard in the afternoon. Hundreds of people belonging to various walks of life attended her funeral prayers, led by Hafiz Muhammad Siddique Faizi.  Pride of Performance, Qaria Rubina was Arabic teacher at the Government Islamia College, Cooper Road. ANKARA: The Turkish government on Sunday ordered the sacking of more than 2,700 people working in public institutions over their alleged links to “terror” groups, in the latest round of purges since last year’s failed coup. A suicide attacker on foot blew himself up near a compound belonging to the Afghan intelligence agency in Kabul on Monday, killing six civilians, officials said. The attacker struck at a time when workers were arriving at their offices. It comes a week after militants stormed a National Directorate of Security (NDS) training centre in the Afghan capital.
